He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Newton and Bessie Mae Satterfield Tackett; his former wife Doris Berkimer; his spouse Delpha McDade; and his siblings, Ruble Woodward, Bobbi Mullens, Chester Tackett and Junior Tackett.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Tackett of Eugene, Michael Tackett (Joni) of La Luz, Amy Smith (Duane) of Greenville and Sue Hawley (David) of Amarillo; and his sisters, Ora Mae Hedrick of Pampa and Gloria Marlar (Bobby) of Pampa. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
