He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ann, Jim Haliburton of Vega, Myra and Ted McCavit of Gonzales, Texas; and his uncles, Jim McCavit and JT Hill.

He is survived by: his son Cooper; his significant other Katie Boes of Denver; his parents, Sherry McCavit and Jack McCavit of Pampa, TX; his brothers, Todd (Laura McCavit) and Tim (Megan McCavit); his uncle John (Cindi Haliburton); his aunt Donna Hill (Haliburton) of Sonora, Texas; and his cousins, James, Katie Inkelaar, John Robert, Kari Hill, Kristi Hill, Chris Switzer, Wayne, Cindi Evans and JT. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Methodist Church (201 E Foster Ave, Pampa, TX 79065).
