He was predeceased by: his parents, Simeon Jr. Turner and Barbara Meade Turner; his sisters, Robin Fritts and Arla Yount; and his brothers-in-law, Vance Fritts, Gene Hinds and Jimmy McPherson.
He is survived by: his siblings, Cindy Hinds, Janie McPherson, Rojeana Skeel (Kevin), Rosella Turner, Roseanna Farmer (Bill), Roslyn Clark and Harold Helms (Stacy); his stepmother Rosetta Turner; his brother-in-law Darrell Yount; his children, Stacy Mercado, Shannon Turner and Deanne Turner; and his nieces and nephews, Jimmy Hall (Tabby), Christa Pennington (Chris), Justin McPherson, Jennifer Caywood, Kelsi Hinds, Charton Clark, Carrie Farmer, Melissa Farmer, Dana McPherson, Tony McPherson, Shawn McPherson (Kinsey) and Stephanie Hampel. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 15 great nieces and nephews; and 2 great-great nephews.
