She was predeceased by: her parents, GiGi and Lilian V. Coates; her husbands, Ernest Porter Thomason and Leon Higgins; her daughter Kelly Stevens; and her sister Joyce Patterson.

She is survived by: her children, Ernest "Pete" Thomason, Jr. of Pampa, Aaron Robinson (Tara Rust) of Texline and Lillian Whitson (Lesley) of Pampa; her stepdaughter Debbie Flores (Leslie) of Houston; and her nieces, Kathy Carter of Manteca California and Michal Olson of California. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
