She was predeceased by: her parents, John Forrest and Clara Forrest; her siblings, Alvin Forrest, Ruby Risley and Edna Richardson; and her grandson Brian Scott Flowers.
She is survived by: her former husband Bryant Flowers; her husband Luther "Junior" Brumfield; her children, Tim Flowers (Beverlee) of Miami, Jim Flowers (Diana Kasson) of Wheat Ridge, Colorado and Jo Lynn Rowland of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Mindee Thweatt (David), Ashlee Flowers (Steve Dauer), Lorie Gomez (Rick) and Angie Erickson (Mark); and also, Eddy Murphy, Stacy Murphy, Stephanie Murphy Jackson and Dallas Brumfield. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.
