He was predeceased by: his father Jose B. Hernandez. He is survived by: his mother Hilda F. Hernandez; his wife Mercedes Hernandez; his children, Marisol Hernandez and Fernando Hernandez Jr.; and his siblings, Mary Lou Guajardo Hernandez (Alejandro) and Jose B. Hernandez Jr. (Rosemary). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
