He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Poole and George Blackmon; his wife Laverne Blackmon; his children, Nancy Blackmon and Stephen Blackmon; and his siblings, Opal Rossetter, Rev. M. T. "Bub" Blackmon and Leroy Blackmon.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin (Kathleen Blackmon), Shelia Blackmon and Mary (James Strube); and his daughter-in-law Suzy Blackmon. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bailey & Foster Funeral Home (207 S Magnolia St, Palestine, TX 75801). A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Denson Cemetery.
