He was predeceased by: his mother Elizabeth Maciel Torrez; and his brother Larry Torrez. He is survived by: his father S. G. "Tex" Torrez; and his brothers, Moses Herrera, Jesse Herrera, Tex Torrez Jr. and Tony Torrez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
