She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Herod and Bessie Kennedy Herod; her husband Marvin Johnston (Buckshot); her son John Jordan; her siblings, Charles, Joe, Bobby Herod and Betty Herod Bennett; and her granddaughter Tiffany Johnston.
She is survived by: her brother Porter Herod (Frances); and her children, Linda Danson, James Jordan (Monika), Brenda Payne (Tommy), Donna Mouton (Scott), Mike Johnston (April) and Gary Johnston (Deanette). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
