She was predeceased by: her parents, James Alford Hill and Laverne Lillian Strack; and her husband Oscar "Buddy" Smith, Sr.. She is survived by: her sons, Jason Smith (Jessica) and James Smith (Alexandra); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Smith, Seth Bradfield, Jason Smith Felts, Abbi Smith, Aurora Smith, Rylee Smith, Ellyana Smith, Emersyn Smith and Daniel Smith; and her sister Sandra Anderson (Jon). She is also survived by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rhone Funeral Home (3900 S State Hwy 19, Palestine, TX 75801). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rhone Memorial Chapel (3900 S State Hwy 19, Palestine, TX 75801). A burial was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at the Pilgrim Cemetery.
