He is survived by: his children, Carmel Alisa Villarreal (Sam) of Fredericksburg, TX. and Floyd Russell O'Brien III of Palestine; his grandchildren, Lauren Eddy (Charles), Jacob Villarreal, Natalie Mendoza (Rob), Julia Prence (Amrush), Shawn O'Brien (Brunna), Briana Cuellar (Josh) and Kendal Brooke; his great grandchild Ashley; and his brothers-in-law, Biff Elrod, Sam Roberts, Richard Roberts and Robert "Buddy" Spoor. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
