She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva Jo Thornton and Alfred D. "Jack" Thornton Sr.; and her brothers, Alfred D. "Chuck" Thornton Jr. and Taylor Jack Thornton. She is survived by: her husband David Rhodes; her children, Amber West (Jordan) of Kemp, Autumn Brown (Randall) of Palestine, Jared Rhodes of San Antonio and John Rhodes (Debbie) of Houston; her sister Alisa Gideon (Greg) of Athens; and her grandchildren, Tanner, Tucker, Emberlynn, Embrie, Michael, Madison and Mason.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, in honor of Debbie Rhodes for her courageous battle with cancer.
