He was predeceased by: his parents, Webster Olan Bratz and Mary Maurine Mosley Bratz; and his brother Kenneth Bratz. He is survived by: his wife Amanda Dawn Gholson Bratz; his children, Stephanie Braly-Beutjer (Michael) of Huntsville and Stephen Braly (Vicki) of Palestine, Texas; his grandchildren, Matthew Beutjer, Braly Beutjer, Sam Braly and Reed Braly; his brothers, Gerald (Kathy) of College Station and Gary (Mary) of Austin, Texas; and his sister-in-law Patsy Bratz. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends.
