Daisy Cook Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daisy Cook of Palestine, Texas, who passed away on November 8, 2024, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiram Oscar Main and Lucy Ann Congleton Main; her husband Walter Hamilton Cook; her stepmother Sybil Main; her grandsons, David and Jason Hudson; and her siblings, Cora Mae Teel, Irene Lasiter, Oscar Herman Main, Edith Lasiter, Hiram Leonard Main, Lottie Lasiter, Olen Main, Virgie Babb, Melvin Main, Susie Langston, Vernon Main, Kenley Main, Eva Nell Funderburk and Tommie Jean White.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Cook Shaver (Donald) of Palestine and Marilyn Cook Gosper (Paul) of Palestine; her granddaughter-in-law Ginger Hudson; her grandson Sean Gosper of Austin; and her great grandchildren, Kingsley Gosper and Hendrix Gosper of Austin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fields Chapel Methodist Church (170 AN County Rd #1231, Fairfield, TX 75840). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Roselawn Park (2591 US-84, Palestine, TX 75801).
