It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bobby Joe Johnson Sr. in Palestine, Texas, born in Mount Vernon, Texas, who passed away on June 27, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Weaver Johnson and Lillis Johnson; his brother Lloyd E. Johnson; his in-laws, Bert and Lola Hines; and his brother-in-law Collin K. Jackson.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Johnson; his children, Ginger Johnson Scruggs and Bobby Johnson Jr.; his grandchildren, Morgan Johnson, Guy Scruggs, Graham Scruggs and Ethan Johnson; his sisters-in-law, Joann Johnson and Barbara Jackson; his children-in-law, Gene Scruggs and Karen Telschow Johnson; and also, Darlene Harrison, Jimmy, Lisa Humphrey, John and Corla Pontello.
