He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Lawrence Myers and Lucille Brock Myers; his former wife Mary Myers; his sister Shirley Thornton; and his half-sisters, Sheila Granger and June Myers.
He is survived by: his wife Leliosa Myers; his children, Mary E. Portis, Michelle R. Ragsdale, Gary W. Myers and Daniel A. Myers (Paula); his brother Randy Myers (Maureen); his brother-in-law James Thornton; and his half-sisters, Billie Joe Myers and Dorothy Caldwell. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bailey & Foster Chapel (207 S Magnolia St, Palestine, TX 75801). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Neches Cemetery (13962 FM321, Palestine, TX 75803).
