It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tereza Ann Shimek of Palacios, Texas, who passed away on May 9, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonia Havel and Thomas Havel; her husband Donald Shimek; her children, Donald Wayne and Phyllis Shimek; and her siblings, Thomas Jr., Alois, James, Henry, Frank Havel and Margaret Smaistrla.

She is survived by: her children, Troy Shimek (Mary Ann), Mark Shimek (Audra Henke), Michael Shimek (Kim), Tena Frick (Joe) and Linda Wilson (David); and her grandchildren, Audrey Jacoby (Trace), Natalie Aparicio (Jacob), Hagan Shimek (Emily), Heather Marburger (Zack), Steven Shimek, Hunter Shimek (Jadelynn), Garret Shimek, Emily Shimek, Amanda Bates (Hudson), Joseph Frick (April), Abagail Fisher (Aaron), Zachary Frick, Craig Wilson, Kassidy Wilson (Reece) and Kolby Wilson.
