He was predeceased by: his parents, James Elsworth McCombs and Emma Rila Wools McCombs; his wife Ruth Naide McCombs; his son Keith Edward McCombs; and his brother Timothy McCombs.
He is survived by: his children, Tracy McCombs, Robert Wayne McCombs, Jr. and Charles Alan McCombs; his brother Thomas McCombs; his grandchildren, Lora Heineman (Scott), C. J. McCombs, Justin James Alan McCrory, Robert Wayne McCombs III, Sherilynn McCombs, Jennifer McCombs and Jessica McCombs; and his great grandchild Dimitri Heineman.
