He was predeceased by: his parents, Agnes Perry and William Perry; his wife Eunice; his sister Susie Sparkman; and his grandsons, Kerry Hannah and C. J. Briggs.
He is survived by: his brother Bill Perry (Margie); his children, Deborah Ashcraft (Jimmie), Mignon Strother (Raymond), Lee Means (Shannon) and Malcolm Means (Balinda); his nieces, Sandy Smith (Anthony) and Brandy Follin; and his close friends, James and Deana Earnhardt. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
He was recognized as an Admiral of the Texas Navy by the Governor of Texas for his contribution to Texas History.
