He is survived by: his sons, Daniel Ray Henkes, James Louis Henkes, Jr. and Richard Edwin Henkes (Stephanie Henkes); his sisters, Betty Jean Jozwiak (Johnny Jozwiak), Loraine Buff (Willard Buff), Annette Naiser (Jimmy Naiser) and Mary Ann Freeman (Billy Freeman); and his grandchildren, Jenna Nicole Henkes, Courtney Lynn Henkes, Dalton Richard Henkes and Selah Lynn Henkes.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Taylor Bros. Funeral Home (2313 Avenue I, Bay City, TX 77404). A rosary was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the St. Peters Catholic Church (106 Eleventh St, Blessing, TX 77419). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
