She was predeceased by: her parents, Sigmund Shimek and Eunice Dornak Shimek; her husband Pete Kocurek; her sons, Gary and Derrill Kocurek; and her sisters, Martha Kutac, Lois Vasicek, Elenora Collins Hunt and Adeline Krenek.
She is survived by: her daughters, Freda Schneider (Roger) of El Maton and Dorene Kocurek of Freeport; her daughter-in-law Jan Kocurek; and her son Glenn Kocurek (Lana) of Carthage. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers are Carl Sexton, Lloyd Kocurek and Peter Sneden Memorial donations in memory of Edith Kocurek are the donor's choice.
