With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Joyce Harrison of Paducah, Texas, who passed away on October 22, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Alton Parker and Helen Ashcraft Woodley; her husband Homer Clyde Harrison; the father of her child Bradley Alton; her children, Sally Jayne (Fred) of Paducah and Bradley Harrison (Marcy) of Fairfax, VA; her granddaughters, Samantha Blount (Brad) of Paducah, Alexandrea Valdez (Gavin) of Dalhart and Emily Harrison of Lexington, KY; her great grandchildren, Sage Blount, Violet Valdez and Colter Valdez; her nieces, Dorothy McKeen (Lamar) and Molly McKeen; and her brother George Woodley (Ruth). She was also cherished by relatives and friends.

Should friends desire, memorials may be sent to the Susan G. Komen Foundation (komen.org) for breast cancer research or the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Paducah, TX.

“To Brad, Sally & families-my heart is sad to hear the news of the passing of your Mom. I never had a chance to meet her but shared several letters & notes with her from her breast cancer diagnosis until her recent years at various nursing homes. She was quite a lady! She was smart, sassy, a fashionista, very determined, & driven. I heard she was even somewhat stubborn at times, but thats OK she earned it! My sympathy & prayers are with all of you at this time.
