He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas James and Verdel Busby (Walker); his wife Mildred; and his siblings, L. T. Busby, Irma Lee Busby, Della Busby, Gracie Busby, Virgie Owens and Willie Ann Balch.
He is survived by: his children, LaShonda Ratliff of Los Angeles, CA, Edward Busby, Jr. of Paducah, TX and Jeremy Busby of Dallas; his sisters, Imadell Aliison of Mart, TX and Gladys Busby of Mexia, TX; and his grandchildren, Trinity, Taliah Busby of Chicago, IL and Ashanti Rodrigues of Los Angeles, CA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
