He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ynez Ybarra and Hortencia Cortez Ybarra; his wife Ysabel Tambunga Ybarra; his children, Santiago, Jr., Amabel Hernandez, Jennifer Salinas and Amy Ybarra; and his siblings, Joe, Pete, Edward Ybarra, Rosa Leal and Angelita Pena. He was also cherished by 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
