She was predeceased by: her husband Wayne West (Cap); her stepson James West; her parents, Eva Vecino Samaniego and Joe Samaniego; and her brothers, Jose Samaniego and Robert James.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Wesley West, Barbara DeWoody and Wilda Won. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, many great and great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Preddy Funeral Home (502 9th St, Ozona, TX 76943). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (1715 Martinez St, Ozona, TX 76943). A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Cedar Hill Cemetery (315 TX-163, Ozona, TX 76943).
