He was predeceased by: his son Marvin III; his parents, Marie Wilkins and Marvin Wilkins Sr.; and his siblings, Michael Wilkins and Terri Spurgeon Espy.

He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his daughter Monica Hall (Kenny); his grandson Trey Hall; and his sisters, Gloria Vaughan (Billy) and Pat Moya (Benny). He is also survived by his many friends and family.
