He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Hansen and Nina Hansen; his wives, Shirley Mills Hansen and Jeannine Bibler Hansen; his children, Linda Duhn, Robert Hansen and Stanley Hansen; his brothers, Irvin Hansen, Leo Hansen and Raymond Hansen; and his granddaughter Christie Madsen.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Grate of Spencer, Sharon Orwig (Glen) of Ore City, Texas and Kevin Hansen (Denise) of Jackson, Minnesota; his sister Virginia Novak of Mendota, Illinois; and his close friend Wilma Higley of Lake Havasu, Arizona. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
