Steve R. Baxter Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Steve R. Baxter (Ore City, Texas), born in Wheatland, Wyoming, who passed away on June 23, 2024 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his children, Cynthia Ann Baxter and Mack Baxter; and his siblings, Doc Baxter, Byron Baxter, Walter "Butch" Baxter, Sue Stitzel and Kay Chafin.
He is survived by: his wife Martha "Lisa" Baxter; his children, Stevie Baxter (Sherlene), Scott Baxter, Brandi Turnbow (Darren) and Russell Baxter; his grandchildren, Andrew, Smitty, Evan and Addie Baxter; and his brother Sam Baxter. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Steve's honor be made to the Hughes Springs High School Scholarship Fund.
