He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Belinda; his children, Robert (Julie Applegate), Joshua Lewis of Texas and Amanda Lewis; his grandchildren, Robert Jr., Gaylon, Braxton, Emma, Gwen, Elliott, Abigail, Aiden and Cameron; his mother Betsy Ahtone Cummings; his siblings, David Cummings of Tecumseh, OK and Karen Cummings; his nieces and nephews, Regina, Rebekah, Vance and Anthony III; his cousin Salli Deere; his grandfather Bobby Daugomah Sr.; his brother Travis Brown; his father Loyd Cummings Sr.; and his grandparents, W. David Cummings, Martha Cummings, Vernon Ahtone and Juanita Ahtone. He was also cherished by other relatives and friends.
