She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Grandis and Edna Grandis; her husband Leroy "Pete" Whitaker; and her son Mike Whitaker. She is survived by: her children, Sandie Ramthun (Dale), Dale Whitaker, Kathy Figueredo (Eric), Scott Whitaker (Patsy), Steve Whitaker, Ron Whitaker and Bobby Whitaker (Quindy). She is also survived by ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
