Waneta Kay Dean Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Waneta Kay Dean of Orange, Texas, who passed away on January 25, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Orbie Ellis and Flora Lee Ellis (Shaw); her grandparents, Howard and Ruby Shaw; her uncle Howard Kenneth; her aunt Dorothy Shaw; her cousins, Kenny Shaw, Louise Shaw and Kimmy Shaw; and her great grandchild Melody Patterson.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Dean of Orange, Texas; her children, Shawn Patterson (Monica) of Moundridge, Kansas, Laren Allen (Tod) of Woodville, Eryn Leleaux (Shane) of Bridge City, Texas and Roy Walter (Jessica) of DeRidder, Louisiana; and her cousins, Peggy Harvey of Orange, Serena Muntzert of Leroy and Kenya Blum-Souter of Orange, Texas. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Dorman Funeral Home (8808 TX-87, Orange, TX 77632). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ebenezer Cemetery.
