He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Henry Mize and Ava Lee Mize (Caffey); and his siblings, W. T. Mize, Doyle Mize, R. L. Mize, Joyce Graham, Sue Hudgins and Linda Hagler.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Mize; his children, Rocky Mize (Allyson) and Tracy Mize Andrews (John); his grandchildren, Reese Mize (Kim), Shannon Mize, Jana Berg (Shane) and Jonathan Andrews (Mandy); his great grandchildren, Alyssa Mize, Clayton Mize, Baylee, Natalie, Pressley, Kylie and Mia; his siblings, Ann Black (Darrell), Wayne Mize (Marilyn) and Wanda Liner (Jim); and his sister-in-law Rhonda Stanley (Randy). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Little Cypress Baptist Church (3274 Little Cypress Dr, Orange, TX 77632). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Little Cypress Baptist Church.
