She was predeceased by: her parents, Jonnie Arwood Henderson (Smith) and Claude Elbert Henderson; her husband C. A. James; her son Chuck James; and her siblings, Ralph, Harold Clarence "Mouse", Charles Henderson, Bernice Taylor, Margaret McCugh and Patricia Oswalt.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Hollye James; her grandchildren, Corye James and Brittni James; her great grandchild Jaxson Ashworth; her sister Shirley Fisher; and her caregivers, Bittni, Destin, Tiffany and Denise Lynn.
