She was predeceased by: her parents, Eillard Landreneau and Lena Landreneau (Richard); her former husband Lloyd Fontenot; her husband Windel Sheppard, Sr.; and her siblings, Jessie, Elizabeth, Hester, Helen, Judy and Bernice.
She is survived by: her children, Danny Fontenot of Port Acres, Windel Sheppard, Jr. (Shanna) of Klondike, Louisiana, Rena Louvier of Port Acres and Susan Sheppard (Sonny) of Orangefield; and her grandchildren, Devan Fontenot, Katelyn Vicars, Ricky Herring, Rachel Melancon, Savannah Trahan, McKenzie Sheppard, Alexander Sheppard and Christopher Sheppard.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Maydel asks to pay off students' lunch debt at a local school of your choosing.
