It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Wade Hays Sr. of Orange, Texas, born in Kisatchie, Louisiana, who passed away on April 25, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Hays and Bernie Hays (Booty); and his wife Shirley Hays. He is survived by: his children, Wade Hays (Mitzi) of Crystal Beach, Shirlene Hays Evans (Emille) of Nederland and Sherri Hays Long (Kenneth) of Crystal Beach; his grandchildren, Tyler Hays (Desi), Hunter Hays (Cayla) and Grayson Long (Eden); his great grandchildren, Hud Hays, Maddie Hays, Cam Hays, Kenzie Hays, Sloane Long and Beckett Long; his brother Bobby Hays of El Campo, Texas; and his caregivers, Teresa Viator and Nikki Glass.
