He was predeceased by: his parents, John Curtis Black, Sr. and Aliene Black; his great-niece Chelsea Pierson; and his brother-in-law Hayden Pierson. He is survived by: his wife Faye Black; his daughter Jean Anne Black; his stepdaughter Denese Bass (Raul Gomez) of Orange; his stepgrandchild Madison Bass (Hayden Cardwell) of Wichita Falls, Texas; his sister Jackie Pierson (Ken Fear) of Big Piney, Wyoming; his nieces, Tanya Veldhuis (Dan) and Sherri Pierson of Phoenix, Arizona; and his pet Marley. He is also survived by other loving family members, and pipeline friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Alzheimer's foundation of America or The American Diabetes Association.
