With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Lopez of Orange, Texas, born in Lafayette, Louisiana, who passed away on January 25, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Wilson Lopez and Joseph Lopez; and his siblings, Dorothy Vital, Annie Mae Francis, Joseph Lopez, Jr. and Edward Lopez.
He is survived by: his wife Bedelia Lopez; his children, Delanie Lopez of Orange, TX and Christopher J. Lopez of Honolulu, HI; his stepchildren, Tabatha Hubert (Elvis Jr) and Willie Netherly, Jr. of Orange, TX; his siblings, Robert Lopez (Catherine) of New Iberia, LA, Viola Lopez and Lillie Faye Francis (Wilson) of New Iberia, LA; his uncle Roland Lopez of New Iberia, LA; his great-aunt Alice; and his great-uncle Henderson Palmer of Beaumont, TX. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Starlight Church of God in Christ (2800 Bob Hall Rd, Orange, TX 77630). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
