She was predeceased by: her parents, Essie Mae Gravenberg (Nolan) and Andrew Gravenberg. She is survived by: her husband James Cotton of Orange; her children, Jason Cotton (Donna) of New Caney, TX, James Cotton, Jr. of Orange, DeVonna McCarter of Palm Springs, CA and Iris D. Porter (Michael) of Houston, TX; and her sisters, Frances Hargest of Houston and Shirley Counts of Little Rock, AR. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Morning Star Baptist Church (1503 Nichols St, Vinton, LA 70668).
