He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivy William Brister and Alma Frances Brister; and his brothers, S. A. Brister, Billy Brister Sr., Dempsey Brister and Clinton Brister.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Louise Brister; his children, Warren Brister (Cindy) and Franny Woods (Dewey); his grandchildren, Dalton Brister (Christina), Brandon Brister (Brittni) and Kami Woods; his great grandchildren, Carter Brister and Harrison Brister; his stepgrandchildren, Harper and Weston Wood; and his brother Paul Brister (Wanda).
Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 11:00 PM to 12:00 AM at the Dorman Funeral Home (8808 TX-87, Orange, TX 77632). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
