He was predeceased by: his wife Carole Herschap; his brothers, Alex "Pete" Herschap Jr., Larry "Buff" Herschap and Richard "Dick" Herschap; and his parents, Pete Sr. Herschap and Lois Herschap.
He is survived by: his children, Scotty Herschap (Pam), Skipper Herschap (Sabra), Stacey Herschap (Sharlotte), Roger Herschap (Donna) and Starla Ahrens (Kenneth); his sister Joan Gorbet (John); and his grandsons, Eric Herschap, Kyle Herschap, Dillon Herschap, Chisom Herschap, Augustus Herschap, Garrett New, Gunner New and Alec Ahrens. He is also survived by loving 16 grandchildren and 14 and a half great-grandchildren.
