It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loretta Gwosdz of Orange Grove, Texas, born in Corpus Christi, Texas, who passed away on May 10, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Mae Hunt Hitt and Harmon Jackson Hitt, Sr.; her brother Harmon Jackson Hitt, Jr. (Butch); and her husband Emerick. She is survived by: her daughters, Gina Hale (Rodney) of Victoria, TX, Tammy Bertling (Tommy) of Victoria, TX and Teresa Gwosdz of Orange Grove, TX; her grandchildren, Lora Howze (Sam) of Petronila, TX, Kayla Bertling of New Braunfels, TX, Cole Bertling (Teresa) of Jarrell, TX, Ashley Schley (Mathieu) of Orange Grove, TX, Tara Ortiz (Nicholas) of Corpus Christi, TX and Branson Benderman of Orange Grove, TX; her great grandchildren, James, Wesley Howze, Loretta Schley, Emma Ortiz and Amelia Bertling; and her sister-in-law Nell Gwosdz.
