We are sad to announce that on March 25, 2025, at the age of 83, John Lyle Gorbet Sr. (Orange Grove, Texas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As John Lyle departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved John Lyle. Though John Lyle may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Zacheus Homer Gorbet and Amanda Elizabeth Wren Gorbet. He is survived by: his wife Joan Herschap; his son John Jr.; his daughter-in-law Monica; his daughter Kristine; and his grandsons, Andon and Ronon.
A graveside service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Hermann Cemetery.
