He was predeceased by: his parents, A. J. Culpepper and Melba Jane Culpepper; and his grandparents, Harold, Amanda Culpepper, Bernice and Lillie Thomasson.

He is survived by: his wife Eva Botello Culpepper; his children, Ana Culpepper (Jennifer), Sara Madrigal (Robert) and John Paul Culpepper (Nicole); his siblings, Bill Culpepper (Terry), Nancy Flores (Pete) and John Culpepper (Mirna); and his grandchildren, Raymond Paul Luna, Sirena, Michael, Andrew and Ariana Madrigal.
