It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Charlton (Omaha, Texas), born in Mount Pleasant, Texas, who passed away on September 15, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Lester and Eula Capel Denny; her husband William Floyd Charlton; her siblings, Clifton, Orville Denny, Hazel Martin and Willie Mae Townsend; and her grandson Jamie McGimpsey.
She is survived by: her son Danny; her daughter-in-law Ellen Charlton of Plano, Texas; her daughter Pennie; her son-in-law Rocky Hitchcock of Omaha, Texas; her sister Floyce McElyea of Winnsboro, Texas; and her grandchildren, Holly Penny (Cody), Kristy Greene, Jesse Hitchcock, Ethan Penny, Jade Hitchcock, Derek Hitchcock, Isaiah Hitchcock, Justin Brown, Jericho McGimpsey, Kandi McGimpsey and Kali McGimpsey. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Daniels Chapel Congregational Methodist Church.
