He was predeceased by: his siblings, J. C. Bell, Oscar Bell, Luther Bell and Mae Francis Haskins. He is survived by: his wife Mary Bell; his children, Sean Johnson (Deanna Williams Johnson) of Texarkana, Kim Bell of Dallas, Corey Bell (Jennifer Bell) of Hampton Virginia and Shana Bell-Banks (Montrell Banks) of Chapel Hill; and his siblings, Ida Blaylock of Atlanta, Betty Rainge (Sam Rainge) of Douglassville, Linda Smith (Bobby Smith) of Dallas, Texas and James Bell, Jr. of Atlanta, Texas. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
