He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edgar Sims and Nora Viola Martin Sims; his wife Pat Sims; and his sons, Steve Sims and Jason Sims.
He is survived by: his daughter Jodie; his son-in-law Lynn Jinks of Omaha; his brother Roy Sims of Arlington, Texas; his grandson Justin; his granddaughter-in-law Shannon Jinks of Omaha; his granddaughter Jamie; his grandson-in-law Chris Cobb of Naples; and his great grandchildren, Morgan Jinks, Calan Cobb and Addi Cobb. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
