He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Henry Amerson and Mary Elizabeth Cannon Amerson; his daughter Amy Cobb; and his siblings, James Amerson, Gaylon Amerson, Bettye Matthews and Mary Ruth Powell.
He is survived by: his son Ronnie; his daughter-in-law Sherry Amerson of Omaha; his brother Roger; his sister-in-law Ann Amerson; his sister Jeanette Peek; and his grandchildren, Jennifer McEntire (Chris), Blake Amerson (Nicole), Taylor Amerson (Nikki), Nicole Hawkins (Rex), Nina Cobb (Clint Adams), Cilla McCollum (Mitchell), Hope Cobb and Crystal Hoeveler (Andrew). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bridges Chapel Cemetery Association.
