He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Turner Alford and Marguerite Hargiss Alford; his daughter Donna Godwin; and his grandsons, Damon Robison and David Day.
He is survived by: his sons, Bob Alford of Longview, Jim (Linda Alford) and David Alford of Omaha; and his grandchildren, Laurie Nicholson (Lee), Angie Stephens (Lee), Josie Henderson, Leslee Clayton (Erik), Jimmy Alford (Nicole), Bobby Lee Alford (Ashton), Kami Smith (Brent) and Lydia Godwin. He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
