It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ermelinda Cortez of Olton, Texas, who passed away on April 23, 2025, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Pedro Jr. Cortez and Anita Cortez (Gonzales); and her daughter Crystal Magana. She is survived by: her children, Valentin Magana Jr. of Lincoln, Timothy Magana (Stephanie) of Plainview, Mario Cedillo (Sarah) of Oklahoma City, Jose Munoz of Lubbock, Nora Valdez (David) of Red Oak, Corina Mandrell (Michael) of Shallowater and Brianna Munoz of Lubbock; and her siblings, Ray Cortez of Olton, Leticia Gutierrez of Olton, Gloria Rosales, Esmeralda Cortez of Lubbock, Magdalena DeLaFuente of Levelland, Elvia Rodriguez of Seymour and Maria Bengel of San Antonio.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ramage Funeral Directors (715 9th St, Olton, TX 79064). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Baptist Church.
