He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey John and Anna Smyth (Goff); his wife Eleanor; and his sisters, Pauline Marion and Katherine Smyth.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Smyth (Kay) of Olton, David Smyth (Alisse) of Olton, Martha Allcorn (Kyle) of Olton, Sarah Widdifield (Larry) of Denver and Mary Lee Brooks (Sterling) of Abilene; his sister Bettie Dickson of Hereford; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Johnson McDaniel of Littlefield. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and a host of much loved nieces and nephews.
